Ignorance is Bliss
"Ignorance is Bliss" delves into the nuanced idea that sometimes choosing silence can lead to peace and contentment. The artwork features a broken, damaged tree and a snail with a human-like face, symbolizing the delicate balance between awareness and ignorance. The snail, a creature known for its slow and deliberate movement, represents a contemplative state of being, unhurried and unaffected by the chaos around it. By giving the snail a face, I emphasize the human tendency to mask true feelings and thoughts, suggesting that, at times, it is preferable to remain silent and oblivious to the harsh realities of life. This work invites viewers to reflect on the moments when silence becomes a refuge, a way to avoid conflict and maintain inner peace.
